Its not a complicated story, rather simple, actually.
The couple met in the spring of 1998 through mutual friends, in Surrey, BC (where they still live, for now). Jessie was skipping out on class one day (When she attended Guildford Park) and met up with two of her friends. It just so happened that her two friends knew Steve, and we popped by his place. Thats where they met. See. . . I told you it was simple.
Now, right away they didnt start seeing each other, as they were both in casual relationships at the time. After a few weeks of relentless (and secretive) flirting and very long telephone calls (hours!!!!!) they decided that they were just suppose to be together, there was something there, that either could ignore.
They let their families and friends know, and then let their partners know, that it was just meant to be!
Their first day as a couple was April 24th 1998, and they both remember every last detail about that day, from that morning's phone conversation down to falling asleep that night.
The coupls first date, was Playland in Vancouver, BC with Steves sister Chantelle, and her then boyfriend, Mike. The day was alot of fun, followed by a backyard bonfire later that evening.
After Playland, they went back to their friends place and hung out with a fire in the backyard.
That was 9 years ago!!!!!
